At MDC, ESG strategy is put into practice. We directly contribute to six SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) of the UN’s 2030 Agenda. Here’s an overview of the SDGs we support:

People are our greatest asset!
MDC is committed to the development and appreciation of its team. In addition, the company carries out strong social work in the communities where it operates, always prioritizing education and income generation as key causes.
Impacting an average of 3,500 people per year, the company works with long-term social projects, assistance actions in communities, and sponsorship of social initiatives through incentive laws.
To expand our social impact actions, we need to engage employees and other stakeholders, mobilizing efforts to create opportunities, income, and education for the communities.

Music Project – Caucaia (CE): Held at the Novo Destino School, this project is executed by the Pecém Symphonic Academy. Around 60 children receive weekly music introduction lessons, which serve as an important cultural tool for individual development.
Projeto de Música – Caucaia (CE): Realizado na sede da Escola Novo Destino, o projeto é executado pela Academia Sinfônica do Pecém. Cerca de 60 crianças recebem aulas semanais de introdução à música, importante instrumento cultural para a formação do indivíduo.
Escola Caminhos do Futuro – Ouriçangas (BA): Near the CDGN operations, we set up an after-school program for 40 children and adolescents, offering reinforcement classes in writing, reading, and mathematics. The project is a partnership with Instituto Alicerce.
Scholarships – São Pedro da Aldeia (RJ): In partnership with Instituto da Criança, we developed a scholarship project at the Doce Mel School, led by local women. This early childhood education project covers the studies of children whose parents face financial difficulties and/or children from families in vulnerable social conditions, ensuring their access to quality education.
Geração de Renda Income Generation – Every year, we support several micro-entrepreneurs with mentoring and access to circular economy events. Additionally, we always prioritize small businesses and social projects in purchases and internal marketing actions. Since 2021, we have accelerated about ten microenterprises.
Ações assistenciais Assistance Actions – We understand the importance of conducting assistance actions in the communities where we operate, aiming to address the urgent needs of families. Thus, we periodically donate food baskets, toys, hygiene products, and provide medical and dental care, with our employees volunteering.
Network Operations:
MDC is part of the Brazil Network of the Global Compact. This is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 21,000 participants, including companies and organizations.
